Couple with baby 2

Our Pages on Fertility Medicine

We refer to the inability to achieve pregnancy (technical term: subfertility, formerly also known as sterility) when a couple has unprotected intercourse for one year and pregnancy still does not occur. This situation can be extremely stressful for both partners. After one year (or as early as six months for women over 35!), a specialised evaluation should be conducted. The evaluation and treatment of couples having trouble achieving pregnancy, including in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), are the specialties of our practice.
